Ang Ku Kueh Mold

Ang Ku Kueh means “turtle cake".  Ang Ku Kueh is a Chinese pastry made with glutinous rice flour and filled with mung bean paste or peanut paste.  The texture has been described to resemble that of Japanese mochi. The mold is in a design of a turtle, which is a symbol of longevity.  This pastry is commonly eaten during joyous occasions, especially at birthdays.
