Evelyn Tai has always been passionate about food. Right after she graduated from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Biological Sciences, just like most fresh graduates, she joined the corporate world. After a few years of attending meetings, chasing sales targets and rushing deadlines, she realized that she finds more joy and happiness running around the kitchen than running the rat race.
Chef Tai was determined to improve on her baking skills by attending part-time baking and cake decorating courses. Endless test-baking sessions took place at home usually over the weekends. Family and friends volunteered to be her food tasters. This process marked the beginning of a home-based baking and cake decorating business which she is extremely proud of.
Oats Delicieux is Evelyn’s first book, she is very excited to be offered an avenue to share her recipes. Nothing makes Evelyn happier than baking in her kitchen, listening to Broadway musicals, enjoying nature and sharing food with her loved ones.
