About the Author

Lucy Koh is a fourth generation Straits-born Chinese (Peranakan) and grew up learning Nonya cooking from her mother. Her mother instilled in her a passion for cooking from a very young age.  Most of the recipes included in this cookbook were passed down through many generations in her family.

It is her desire to preserve and pass down the cuisine of her heritage.  This cookbook is a fulfillment of her wish to make Nonya food accessible for all.
